I rang 104 times between 8am and 8.18 this morning to try and get an emergency appointment but it was constantly engaged and when the receptionist finally answered the phone I was told they had no appointments left. I was devastated as I had taken this morning off from work so I could ring as soon as the surgery opened at 8am.

I had to have a sensitive procedure today at School green surgery. I'm my particular case this can be an extremely uncomfortable and often painful. This is the second time that this particular nurse, Patricia carried out the procedure. She was so kind and re-assuring, whilst remaining professional. The whole experience was quite different to what I had feared. My experience of both nurses, Carol and Patricia has been extremely pleasant and positive. I don't 'do' pain or discomfort very well and both of these ladies seem to listen and tread very gently making my visits far less stressful. Thank you so much to both, but social thanks to Patricia for today. CH

The appointment system is diabolical! The "phone on the day" system doesn't work- you phone early to find out the appointments have already gone. The receptionists seemed unhelpful but probably because of constraints of the system. When you get to see staff they are lovely and very professional, but I am thinking of changing surgeries because of the appointment system. Always very clean and pretty empty! There is no online booking system or website which would be very useful.

This surgery is large with spacious consulting rooms, the GPs are not rushing to prescribe and take time to listen and diagnose. Consequently the surgery is popular and it can be difficult to get an appointment, the stock answer seems to be please phone at 08:00 tomorrow to see if we can fit you in. The problem with that is the phone is constantly engaged at 08:00 and when you do finally get through you are told no appointments are available please phone at 08:00 tomorrow.

Receptionist, pharmacists and Dr Nadeem were helpful, courteous and efficient Dr Nadeem listened carefully and involved my opinion and thoughts in the treatment process. (it isn't just a job for him- he actually really cares)
